This project took about 2 hours to create: getting to files together, building the html page, selecting colors..., it took about 20 minutes to create the 1600 images that represent the flood zones and county boundries at multiple scales.
ICMap creates the images and contains all the client side scripts, scale bars and supporting html, this includes scripts to add the Google Map base. There are no server requirements, all scripts are client side.
This example is served from a Linux Box, simply copy the images and html files to the server and the project is completed. To Link to Goolge maps you will need to register with Google, free for non-commerical use.
